Criminal Defense Attorney
The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC is seeking a dedicated Associate Criminal Defense Attorney to join their San Jose, CA office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an admitted attorney to advance their career within a premier law firm known for its commitment to client advocacy and professional growth. As an Associate Criminal Defense Attorney, you will report directly to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney and collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys and legal assistants.
In this position, you will be responsible for advising clients on their legal rights, preparing and reviewing legal documents, and representing clients in pretrial hearings and court appearances. Your duties will include drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, conducting legal research, and analyzing case outcomes based on legal precedents. Additionally, you will manage a caseload, provide strategic legal analysis, gather evidence to support clients' cases, and prepare clients for depositions.
Ideal candidates will have experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels. Strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to exceptional client service, and the ability to work collaboratively with fellow associates are essential. While bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, it is not a requirement for this role.
The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $120,000 annually, with the potential for higher earnings based on experience and case-by-case evaluations.
