The Coordinator, People Development at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is integral to the firm's People Development team, focusing on the growth and development of associates, counsel, and business services professionals. This role is based in the New York office and involves close collaboration with senior team members, internal and external consultants, and department leads to implement and evaluate learning and development initiatives.
Key responsibilities include managing training logistics, coordinating program materials, assessing program effectiveness, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. The coordinator contributes to various learning curricula under Core Learning and Development (L&D), ensuring seamless delivery of training programs, workshops, and development activities. This involves scheduling sessions, confirming facilitator availability, securing conference spaces, and navigating virtual learning environments.
Candidates should possess knowledge of learning and development principles and curricula implementation. A client-centric approach to supporting learning and development initiatives is essential, along with strategic thinking and the ability to identify challenges and find creative solutions. Effective collaboration, adaptability to change, and proficiency in relevant software programs such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Zoom/WebEx are also required.
The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $87,000 to $97,000, commensurate with experience.
