Compliance Operations Specialist 1
Twilio is seeking a Compliance Operations Specialist to join our Compliance Operations team, which ensures that customer activities on our platform adhere to industry regulations and Twilio's internal policies. This role involves reviewing alerts and account activities related to Messaging and Voice traffic to assess compliance with Twilio's Voice Policy, Messaging Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and relevant global regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include investigating potential violations by analyzing account activities and messaging behaviors to identify signs of abuse or misuse, such as spam or scams. The specialist will take swift action to mitigate risks by using internal tools and data to detect and halt non-compliant activities that could negatively impact Twilio's customers or end-users. Additionally, the role involves direct communication with customers, primarily through email, to notify them of policy violations, provide clear guidance on resolving issues, and, when necessary, inform them of access restrictions or terminations. The specialist will also analyze trends to prevent future abuse and support global impact by making decisions that affect businesses, mobile carriers, and consumers worldwide.
The ideal candidate should be willing to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as required. Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a strong bias for action is essential. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work through ambiguous situations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to explain policy violations and technical details clearly to customers.
