Cloud Platform Tech Lead

The Cloud Platform Tech Lead at Trade Republic will lead the development and management of the company's cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. This role is integral to the Platform Engineering team, which supports over 400 engineers by providing robust platforms that underpin every trade, savings plan, and card payment. Trade Republic is Europe's largest savings platform, operating in 18 countries and managing over €150 billion in assets.

Key responsibilities include defining and implementing the cloud infrastructure strategy, managing Kubernetes clusters across multiple AWS accounts, and ensuring high availability and compliance standards. The role involves automating cluster lifecycle management, enhancing multi-region capabilities, and developing self-healing systems. Collaboration with product teams to set workload standards and participation in on-call rotations are also essential.

Candidates should have at least five years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, with a strong background in Kubernetes, networking, and multi-cloud environments. Proficiency in backend engineering, particularly with Go, and the ability to define technical strategies and drive cross-team initiatives are required. Experience with cloud-native technologies and infrastructure as code is also important.
