Case Manager
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Case Manager to join our team in Lakeland, Florida. As a Case Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our attorneys by managing a diverse caseload and facilitating the development of settlements. This position requires a high level of organization and a customer-focused, empathetic approach to client interactions.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include daily communication with clients, both existing and potential, through telephone and in-person meetings. You will be responsible for ordering medical records from providers and maintaining communication with clients and providers throughout the treatment process. Additionally, you will obtain necessary documents to support injury and liability positions, interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances, and work collaboratively with colleagues to manage and support case files. Maintaining organized case files, preparing comprehensive demands for submission to carriers under attorney supervision, and managing cases from intake to closure are also key aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree (preferred) and have prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager. A minimum of two years of experience in a legal position or as an insurance adjuster is preferred. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and excellent writing and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute are required.
