Case Manager in Training

Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking a qualified Case Manager in Training to join their Detroit, Michigan office. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the legal field within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As a Case Manager in Training, you will be responsible for assisting case managers and attorneys with organizing, filing, and maintaining client files for over 100 cases. Your duties will include collecting check requests for medical records, accident reports, driving records, and vehicle ownership documents, as well as copying documents and demand packages as requested. Additional responsibilities encompass performing general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, sorting mail, creating new and existing client folders, preparing and sending turndowns and no representation letters, contracts, multi-party combo letters, and demand letters, and other related tasks as assigned to meet the needs of the business.

Ideal candidates should possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in the legal field is advantageous. Applicants should have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including word processing, file and record management, and other office procedures. The ability to multi-task, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing at no less than 35 words per minute are required.
