Key responsibilities include designing and implementing camera geometry models, geolocation calibration, and advanced geospatial processing algorithms like bundle adjustment, orthorectification, and atmospheric corrections. The engineer will complete on-orbit geometric calibration of new FireSat satellites during commissioning and develop scalable calibration systems to support an expanding satellite constellation.

Candidates should possess a PhD with 5+ years of relevant experience, an MS with 8+ years, or a BS with 10+ years in fields such as remote sensing, photogrammetry, geodesy, astronomy, or physics. Hands-on experience with geometric calibration of imaging instruments, strong mathematical skills in geometry and statistics, and proficiency in Python-based development are essential. The ability to work collaboratively in a distributed, interdisciplinary team and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment is also required.
