Business Systems Manager, Life Sciences
Datavant is seeking a Business Systems Manager for its Life Sciences division to lead and enhance the systems that drive operational efficiency. Reporting to the Life Sciences Operations Lead, this role involves owning platform architecture, workflow design, integrations, and operational reporting. The position is strategic and hands-on, focusing on building durable systems that improve user experience and provide leadership visibility.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary owner and architect of platforms like supporting project delivery, time tracking, resourcing, and capacity planning across multiple sub-business units. The role also involves leading the migration and consolidation of legacy tools into designing scalable system architecture, partnering with Operations and Finance to build dashboards and reporting, translating evolving business processes into intuitive system workflows, designing and overseeing integrations between and other core systems, establishing a structured intake and prioritization process for system enhancements, and enforcing data integrity, access controls, and enterprise security standards within Life Sciences-owned systems.
The ideal candidate will have 5-9 years of experience in Business Systems, Business Operations, Enterprise Applications, or related roles in scaling organizations. Hands-on ownership and administration of (or a similar workflow platform) in a multi-team environment is required. Experience implementing or migrating teams onto new systems at scale (100–500 users preferred), a strong business process design mindset, experience building dashboards and operational reporting, familiarity with system integrations and cross-platform workflow automation, high emotional intelligence and communication skills, a pragmatic, operator-first approach, and comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with shifting priorities are also necessary.
The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is $136,000 to $160,000 USD.
