Business Development Representative
As a Business Development Representative at LVT, you will be at the forefront of our growth, connecting innovative security solutions with businesses that need them most. This role involves initiating the first conversation with prospects, educating them on how LVT's intelligent site technology addresses their challenges, and qualifying opportunities for our sales team. It requires energy, curiosity, and strong communication skills to quickly build rapport, uncover needs, and generate genuine interest.
Key responsibilities include engaging inbound leads through discovery calls and emails to educate prospects and assess fit for LVT's solutions. You will qualify prospects based on their business needs, timeline, and decision-making authority, and schedule qualified appointments for Account Executives, ensuring smooth handoffs with detailed context. Maintaining consistent outreach through high-volume calls and emails to move prospects through the pipeline is essential, as is documenting all lead interactions and maintaining accurate records in our CRM system. Collaboration with marketing and sales teams to provide feedback on lead quality and messaging effectiveness is also a key part of the role.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who can quickly build rapport and credibly represent a technical product. Self-motivation and resilience are important, with the ability to maintain energy and focus in a high-volume role. A natural curiosity with strong listening skills and the ability to ask insightful questions is essential. Comfort with learning and explaining technical concepts to business audiences, as well as being organized, detail-oriented, and having strong follow-through on commitments, are also important qualities. Adaptability and a growth mindset are valued, and a bachelor's degree is preferred. Previous experience in sales, customer service, or client-facing roles is a plus.
