Business Development Representative (Hybrid)
The Business Development Representative (BDR) at KnowBe4 plays a pivotal role in the company's sales process by acting as pre-sales support. This position involves researching potential customers, connecting with and educating prospects about KnowBe4's product offerings, and qualifying leads before passing them to the sales team. The primary focus is to transform leads into qualified opportunities by collaborating with marketing and sales teams to create and execute lead generation campaigns.
Key responsibilities include identifying and qualifying prospective customers who align with KnowBe4's range of products and services, including Egress. The BDR will develop opportunities for the sales team through both prospecting efforts and marketing-generated leads. This involves implementing outbound prospecting strategies to engage prospective buyers, responding to and qualifying inbound leads and inquiries, and collaborating with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approaches. Additionally, the BDR is expected to develop and execute strong prospecting plans, including crafting email and call scripts, and to track all relevant qualification and lead management activities using and Salesloft.
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree or relevant experience. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT security field is a plus. Proficiency with Gmail, Google Docs, and MS Office is required. The role demands proven leadership abilities, organizational project management experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good computer skills. A friendly phone demeanor and a "pleasantly persistent" attitude are essential, as it may take multiple attempts to reach a prospect. The candidate must be highly organized and results-oriented.
