Business Development Manager, Singapore
The Business Development Manager role at Headout in Singapore involves leading the company's commercial efforts and market expansion within the region. As a key member of the APAC Business Team, the individual will collaborate closely with supply partners and travel experience providers to enhance Headout's offerings and deliver exceptional value to customers. This position reports directly to the Regional General Manager for APAC and MENA.
Key responsibilities include identifying, reaching out to, and onboarding new supply partners and distribution-side partnerships across Singapore. The role also entails nurturing relationships with existing supply partners, such as Gardens by the Bay, Universal Studios Singapore, and Singapore Zoo, to drive additional growth and deepen Headout's presence in areas like Sentosa and Marina Bay. Additionally, the manager will liaise between internal stakeholders—including Operations, Tech, and Marketing teams—and external accounts to ensure smooth execution of partnerships and growth in bookings. Analyzing market trends and providing market and competitor analysis to optimize business strategies across Singapore and the broader APAC region is also a critical aspect of the role.
Candidates must be fluent in English and proficient in Mandarin, Malay, or another Asian language. Applicants should currently reside in Singapore and possess a minimum of two years of experience in business development, preferably within consumer tech, travel tech, or marketplace startups. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a global mindset and comfort working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and time zones across APAC. A start-up attitude—highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to take initiative—is crucial. Experience working with a CRM and a readiness to learn and use new tools are also required.
