Analytics Engineer

The Analytics Engineer role at Similarweb is pivotal in shaping how data informs product and business decisions. This position involves designing and maintaining the data architecture that underpins strategic decision-making, ensuring that data is clear, reliable, and easily accessible. The engineer will collaborate closely with the Growth and Solutions teams to support initiatives in Generative AI, Data-as-a-Service (DaaS), and advanced product models.

Key responsibilities include transforming raw, complex data into well-structured tables for high-stakes decision-making, translating strategic concepts into precise SQL definitions and automated datasets, and partnering with AI and DaaS specialists to build structured data foundations for models and external data products. The role also involves designing data logic for product dashboards and growth funnels, and ensuring consistency and reliability of metrics across reports.

The ideal candidate will possess expert-level SQL skills, the ability to translate business needs into technical data structures, and a talent for organizing information into intuitive tables. A strong understanding of SaaS metrics and proficiency in BI tools like Looker or Tableau are essential. A B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, along with at least one year of relevant analytics or technical experience, is required.
