Account Executive II, Inbound
Xometry is seeking an Account Executive II to manage and convert inbound leads into loyal customers, as well as oversee an existing book of business. This role involves guiding customers through the sales process, ensuring a seamless experience from initial contact to deal closure. The position is based in Waltham, MA, with a hybrid work environment requiring onsite presence three days a week.
Key responsibilities include building relationships with clients, projecting company values of trust and service, and identifying strategic long-term clients to secure substantial and repeatable orders. The role also involves developing business with existing and new inbound customers, creating and managing plans to reach specific sales objectives, and assisting customers in selecting the best rapid manufacturing technology for their development projects. Additionally, the Account Executive II will be the contact person for all new projects related to prototyping and low-volume production, provide guidance to the sales engineering team to develop quotes based on specific customer needs, deliver technical presentations at customer seminars and industry events, and collect and report industry trends and competitor information.
Candidates should have at least 3+ years of sales experience in a quota-carrying full-cycle sales role, with experience in a high-volume inbound sales role. Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms like Zoom, WebEx, or GoToMeeting is required. CRM experience with Salesforce or similar systems is also necessary. Strong negotiation skills, a results-driven approach, high energy, and a positive attitude are essential. The ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is important. A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $54,000 to $70,000 annually, plus commission, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
