Account Executive - API solutions
As an Account Executive specializing in API solutions at Auctane, you will be instrumental in driving new business development within the European mid-market segment. This role focuses on promoting the ShipStation API to optimize shipping, fulfillment, and logistics operations for eCommerce, retail companies, and third-party logistics platforms. You will collaborate closely with marketing, partnerships, and extended sales teams to identify and engage potential clients.
Your primary responsibilities include identifying and qualifying leads through outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and partner channels. You will develop and execute strategic territory and account plans targeting growth sectors, conduct product demonstrations, engage in technical discussions, and lead consultative sales engagements centered on API-led solutions. Maintaining a robust pipeline in the CRM system and negotiating contracts to achieve revenue and margin goals are also key aspects of this role.
The ideal candidate possesses 3–6 years of B2B sales experience in SaaS or technology solutions, preferably with an API-first product or platform. Strong technical sales skills are essential, including comfort in discussing API integrations and workflows. A proven track record in hunting and closing new business within mid-market or enterprise segments, along with experience selling to diverse audiences such as procurement, logistics, and IT, is highly desirable. Familiarity with eCommerce, logistics, or fulfillment ecosystems, as well as carrier management systems and multi-carrier APIs, will be advantageous.
