UX Designer, Monetization
The UX Designer, Monetization role at Twitch focuses on creating and refining monetization experiences that support sustainable growth for creators, viewers, and the platform itself. As part of the Monetization UX team, the designer will develop systems that enable creators to earn revenue in ways that feel natural and rewarding, aligning with the spirit of live communities. This position involves leading design projects, collaborating with senior cross-functional stakeholders, and mentoring junior designers, all while reporting directly to a Director of Design.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with product managers, engineers, and designers throughout the full product lifecycle—from early concept and opportunity exploration through launch and ongoing iteration. The designer will engage with streamers, viewers, and businesses to understand their needs and desires, creatively solving problems to enhance the monetization journey on Twitch. Contributing to the design community by utilizing and improving existing patterns and approaches, as well as presenting work in design reviews and feedback sessions, are also integral parts of the role.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of practical experience in UX design, with an emphasis on content discovery and/or content engagement experiences. Demonstrated skills in interaction design and visual craft, including experience with prototyping mobile experiences, are essential. The role requires strong collaboration abilities with other designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers, along with a keen aesthetic sense and the confidence to make design decisions. Empathy for users and expertise with Figma are also required. Experience in e-commerce or monetization is highly valued.

The base salary range for this position varies by location, with ranges from $117,800 to $160,000 in Seattle and Irvine, $135,500 to $184,000 in San Francisco, and $129,600 to $176,000 in New York City. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
