UX Designer, Community
As a UX Designer on the Community team at Twitch, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing streamer creation and viewer engagement experiences across our platform. Twitch is the world's leading live streaming service, fostering global communities centered around gaming, entertainment, music, sports, cooking, and more. Our mission is to empower live communities, and this role is integral to building and maintaining a cross-platform live streaming service that supports the growth and development of streamer-based communities.
In this position, you will collaborate with a cross-functional development team comprising product managers, engineers, and fellow designers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting hands-on research to understand how streamers and viewers utilize our services, identifying their needs and desires to accomplish more. You will think creatively to solve problems that sustain and grow streamers' communities, contribute to and improve existing design patterns and approaches, and combine qualitative and quantitative data to develop hypotheses about customer motivations, using these insights to refine your designs. Additionally, you will present your work in design reviews and feedback sessions, ensuring alignment and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have over three years of practical experience in UX design, with a focus on content discovery and engagement experiences. You should demonstrate strong interaction design and visual craft skills, including experience with prototyping mobile experiences. Collaboration is key, so experience working closely with other designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers is essential. An aesthetic sense, the ability to make confident design decisions, empathy for end-users, and proficiency with Figma are also required.
Compensation for this role ranges from $106,000 to $184,000 USD annually, reflecting the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The total compensation package may include equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
