Technical Program Manager (Technical Support Engineering)
Chainguard is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects within the Technical Support Engineering organization. This role involves planning requirements with internal stakeholders and guiding projects through the full project lifecycle to enhance the security of software supply chains.
The Technical Program Manager will own the end-to-end execution of Level 3 engineering escalations and customer support metrics, including intake, prioritization, dependency tracking, and issue resolution. Responsibilities also encompass designing and improving technical support processes for scalable and reliable delivery, coordinating across Engineering, Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams to align priorities and timelines, and leading capacity planning to support parallel initiatives and changing demand.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with 5 years of experience in program management and software development best practices. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or equivalent experience in a related technical field and experience managing cross-functional projects.
The position offers a base salary range of $145,000 to $165,000 USD, along with benefits such as flexible and remote-first culture, stock options upon hire and promotion, 100% covered health insurance for employees and dependents, flexible time off, and 18 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents.
