Chainguard is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Experience team, focusing on building and scaling our Libraries products. This role is pivotal in advancing Chainguard's mission to secure the software supply chain by developing high-performance web applications that handle large-scale data. The Experience team operates at a rapid pace, launching and iterating on multiple new products each year, providing an exciting and dynamic work environment.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will own and build key parts of the Libraries product UI, designing and implementing web applications that manage extensive datasets, including millions of packages, versions, and dependencies. Collaborating closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers, you will deliver end-to-end features that make secure software consumption seamless for developers. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping how developers interact with and trust software supply chains.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in building modern web applications at scale, with deep expertise in React, Material UI (or similar component systems), and GraphQL. Experience in developing high-performance UIs that manage large, complex datasets is essential. A strong product ownership mindset, the ability to operate in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, and familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows are highly valued.

Chainguard offers a flexible and remote-first culture, providing opportunities for team meetups, bi-annual destination summits, and a monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone, and internet costs. Employees receive stock options upon hire and promotion, with a 10-year exercise window. The company covers 100% of health, vision, and dental insurance premiums for employees and their dependents. Additionally, Chainguard provides flexible time off and 18 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents, with 12 weeks for non-birthing parents, usable all at once or throughout the child's first year.

Joining Chainguard means becoming part of a team that is customer-obsessed, action-oriented, and values transparency and trust. The company fosters a culture where serious work is balanced with enjoyment, encouraging employees to take ownership and make impactful contributions. With a focus on delivering secure open-source software, Chainguard provides ample growth opportunities and the chance to work on meaningful projects that make a difference in the industry.
