Technical Program Manager, Identity and Access Management Programs

Stripe is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join the Organization Access Platform (OAP) team, focusing on security initiatives. In this role, you will drive critical security programs across multiple teams, manage dependencies, and ensure the successful delivery of security features that protect our platform and users. This is a highly technical role requiring strong program management skills and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include leading end-to-end program management for critical security initiatives such as API key security, Account Takeover (ATO) prevention, login access controls, and other risk/security/fraud prevention measures. You will drive cross-team dependencies and collaboration between security, fraud operations, and product engineering teams, track and resolve program blockers across multiple workstreams, and develop implementation roadmaps and execution strategies for complex security features. Additionally, you will partner with engineering managers to define technical requirements and prioritize security enhancements, establish metrics and reporting processes to measure program effectiveness, and facilitate decision-making processes when trade-offs are required between security, user experience, and development timelines.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of technical program management experience with demonstrated success in security-focused initiatives, experience managing complex technical programs with multiple stakeholders and dependencies, and a strong understanding of security concepts and best practices, particularly in API security, authentication systems, and access controls. Excellent communication skills, a proven track record of influencing decisions across teams without direct authority, and experience working with engineering and product teams in a fast-paced environment are also essential. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is required. Preferred qualifications include experience with payment systems, financial technology, or enterprise SaaS platforms; knowledge of compliance requirements related to data security (SOC2, PCI, etc.); experience with identity and access management systems; a background in API development or platform security; and previous experience working on developer platforms or developer experience.
