Team Lead, Risk Operations (PRO)

The Team Lead, Risk Operations (PRO) at Stripe is responsible for managing a team of Operations Associates who investigate merchant accounts to identify risks related to fraud and user policy compliance. This role involves setting clear goals, providing guidance and mentorship, and ensuring the team's success in protecting and advancing Stripe's business and brand. The Team Lead will oversee the operational performance of the team, manage capacity and scheduling, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include guiding the team in conducting thorough investigations of merchant accounts, managing operational performance to deliver key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying process improvements to scale operations and enhance user experience, and ensuring the team has the necessary skills and resources to succeed. The role also involves setting clear expectations for individual and team performance, supporting recruitment and hiring initiatives, and providing continuous performance feedback and structured development conversations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6+ years of experience in fraud operations, fraud strategy, or financial crime operations, with experience coaching or leading operations teams and managing performance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results and promote partnership. Experience in delivering business metrics and reporting, as well as exemplary planning and time management skills, are also required.
