The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Client Operations at WPP Media is a pivotal leadership role within the Global Client Solutions (GCS) Operations unit. Reporting directly to the Global Operations Director, the SVP is responsible for defining and driving operational excellence across WPP Media's most critical global client accounts. This position requires a strategic thinker capable of leading and supporting a team of embedded Operations Leads, identifying critical operational issues, and intervening in key projects to enhance operational efficiency and safeguard key client relationships.

Key responsibilities include providing direct leadership and mentorship to Operations Leads within global client teams, ensuring high performance and alignment with GCS operational objectives. The SVP proactively identifies and analyzes operational issues across all global client accounts, developing and implementing impactful solutions. Building and nurturing a collaborative operations community is essential, facilitating the sharing of best practices and driving continuous improvement. The role also involves senior-level oversight and hands-on involvement in critical client projects, focusing on adding value and resolving complex operational challenges. Collaboration with senior operations stakeholders, including the SVP Delivery Management, Transition Lead, and Director of Operational Excellence, is crucial to ensure cohesive strategies and seamless execution. Additionally, the SVP partners with the Global Operations Director on high-stakes initiatives, such as pitch prevention, developing bespoke client operating models, and leading strategic team restructuring.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience (10+ years) in client-facing operational leadership roles, specifically managing large-scale global and regional clients within the media, marketing, or agency environment. Strong commercial acumen is essential, with a deep understanding of client relationships, contract management, and the financial implications of running complex global accounts. Demonstrated expertise in process optimization, operational efficiency, and implementing scalable solutions is required. Exceptional leadership and team management skills are necessary, with a proven ability to build, motivate, and manage high-performing teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are vital, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
