Cielorg is offering a Summer 2027 Legal Internship in the United States, providing law students with an opportunity to engage in international environmental law and human rights advocacy. As a dynamic nonprofit organization, Cielorg comprises attorneys, researchers, and communicators dedicated to advancing the right to a healthy environment through innovative legal strategies.

Interns will be involved in researching and writing on various areas of domestic and international law, including environmental and human rights law, international investment law, and international trade law and policy. Additional responsibilities encompass assisting with policy analysis and advocacy, attending meetings and conferences, contributing to the production of publications, legal opinions, and briefs, and supporting the preparation of amicus curiae before international tribunals.

Applicants should be enrolled in a graduate program leading to a legal degree (e.g., LLM, JD) and possess experience in international environmental or human rights law, either through coursework or comparable work experience. A commitment of at least 40 hours per week for the summer session is required.

The internship offers a monthly stipend of $2,600 for full-time interns in the United States. Stipends are intended to make the internship more accessible to aspiring professionals and are not intended to create an employment relationship.

Cielorg fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture, emphasizing professional development and real-world training. This internship is central to Cielorg's mission of developing the next generation of environmental leaders and lawyers through hands-on experience in international environmental law and human rights advocacy.
