Strategic Programs Lead - User Communications, Advocacy & Escalations
The Strategic Programs Lead - User Communications, Advocacy & Escalations role at Stripe is a pivotal position within the Risk Operations Enablement team. This team is dedicated to assisting users in navigating evolving compliance standards within a complex regulatory landscape. The role focuses on program management, communications, user escalations, user advocacy, and go-to-market (GTM) engagement, collaborating closely with various stakeholders including Operations, Product, Engineering, and GTM teams.
Key responsibilities include driving execution of user-facing initiatives for regulatory programs and major risk projects affecting Stripe's largest users. The role involves handling escalations, directly engaging with user executives to explain timelines and decisions, and conducting retrospectives to enhance execution quality. Additionally, the position requires defining internal and external engagement strategies, managing multiple user communications to align with program objectives and Stripe's brand, and partnering with cross-functional teams to finalize messaging. The role also encompasses delivering enablement for GTM teams, creating training sessions and reference documentation, and building repeatable models for regulatory implementation.
Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in high-performance environments with globally diverse, matrixed stakeholders in a fast-growing scale. Strong content writing and public speaking skills are essential, along with cross-functional leadership experience aligning Product, PMM, TPM, GTM, and Operations teams toward shared goals. Experience working directly with customers and preparing for and leading customer conversations is also required. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with executive-level stakeholders, are crucial.
The annual US base salary range for this role is $127,600 to $191,400. Additional benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
