Staff Android Engineer

As a Staff Android Engineer at WeightWatchers, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing the Android application that supports millions in their health and wellness journeys. This position is integral to the Mobile Product Engineering team, focusing on delivering seamless and intuitive user experiences that facilitate daily habit formation and long-term motivation.

Your primary responsibilities will include building and evolving key native features of the WeightWatchers Android app, such as food tracking, activity logging, and progress monitoring. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, Data, and Behavioral Science, to implement flagship initiatives that ensure high performance and a premium user experience.

The ideal candidate will possess 12-15+ years of professional Android app development experience, with deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android libraries like Jetpack Compose and Coroutines. A strong understanding of the mobile development lifecycle, architecture best practices, and the ability to mentor junior engineers are essential for success in this role.

WeightWatchers offers a competitive base salary ranging from $185,000 to $275,000 USD, depending on skills, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and an annual bonus program.
