Sr, Product Manager II - Gantt View (Hybrid in Bangalore)
Smartsheet is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Product Manager II to join our Product Organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing new capabilities that address the advanced project management needs of our most valuable and strategic customers, driving meaningful change in their organizations. You will focus on delivering a completely new Gantt View experience, working closely with a dedicated engineering team based in Bangalore and reporting to the US-based Group Product Manager for Core Views experiences.
As the Senior Product Manager II, you will define, prioritize, and drive the future roadmap for project management capabilities, ensuring alignment with customer needs, company objectives, and industry best practices. You will own the end-to-end delivery of a new, scalable Gantt View experience, ensuring a compelling, high-quality customer experience that sets a new bar for Smartsheet. Collaboration with design, engineering, user research, data science, and analytics teams will be essential to create, test, and launch proposed new capabilities and validate hypotheses. Leveraging internal and external data to guide experimentation, make informed product decisions, and evaluate the success of launches will be a key aspect of your role. Regularly presenting product strategy, concepts, health metrics, and roadmap updates to senior leadership to educate, influence, and align stakeholders across the company is also expected.
The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of progressive product management experience, preferably in B2B/enterprise or scaled consumer software. Proven experience partnering with engineering, design, user research, and marketing teams to deliver complex, scaled software products from inception through launch is essential. A technical degree or equivalent experience working closely with engineers to make product and technical decisions is required. A strong, data-driven mentality with a focus on metrics, analytics, and experimentation is crucial. Exceptional written, verbal communication, and presentation skills necessary to lead working teams and align with senior management are also important. High-level interpersonal skills for building trusted, strategic cross-team partnerships are a must.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) and/or as a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
