Sr. Manager, Equity Administration
Gong is seeking a Senior Manager of Equity Administration to lead its global equity programs during a pivotal growth phase, including preparation for an initial public offering (IPO). This role involves overseeing the end-to-end administration of employee equity plans, ensuring compliance, scalability, and operational excellence. The position is available in multiple locations, including Austin, Chicago, New York City, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing equity administration systems, including stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs). Key duties include supporting S-1 preparation and disclosures, ensuring compliance with public company reporting requirements such as ASC 718 and SEC disclosures, and establishing scalable processes and internal controls for SOX readiness. The role also involves partnering with Technical Accounting to ensure accurate accounting treatment and reporting of equity compensation, collaborating with Legal on equity plan design and regulatory compliance, and working with HR on equity grant strategies and employee education programs.
Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience in equity administration, including leadership responsibilities. Proven experience supporting a company through IPO readiness or public company equity administration is essential. A deep knowledge of equity compensation accounting (ASC 718) and SEC reporting requirements is required, along with hands-on experience with equity management platforms such as Carta or Shareworks. Strong understanding of cap table management, equity plan design, and global equity compliance is also necessary.
The annual salary hiring range for this position is $128,000 to $195,000 USD.
