Software Engineering Manager
Experian is seeking a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to lead and expand our Housing Engineering team. This role focuses on developing a scalable and resilient Housing Data & Analytics Platform, serving as the foundation for Generative AI and agentic AI capabilities, while managing multiple Housing and Rental Solutions. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the manager will drive the architecture and delivery of unified platform solutions and new product prototypes.
Key responsibilities include leading product engineering teams, fostering a culture of engineering excellence, and mentoring team members to align with business strategies. The manager will collaborate with Experian's platform and AI teams, as well as peer engineering leaders across business units, to align on shared patterns, reuse capabilities, and contribute to the group-wide AI strategy. Additionally, the role involves managing housing product deliveries, tracking project health through metrics, and aligning with other business units for cross-functional delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or Computer Science, with over 12 years of experience in engineering, data science, or software development, including at least 4 years in a leadership or management role. Hands-on proficiency in AWS cloud services, full-stack development, testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and security best practices is essential. Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture is required, along with experience in building big data platforms and leveraging AI/ML capabilities to drive product innovation and operational efficiency.
