Software Engineering Intern, Payments

is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering Intern to join its Payments team. This team is responsible for enabling users worldwide to deposit and withdraw funds from the platform, effectively bridging traditional finance and cryptocurrency. As an intern, you will contribute to the development of APIs that power deposits, withdrawals, and payment flows in the app. You will assist in integrating with external payment providers and banks, supporting users across multiple regions. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will write clean, maintainable, and testable code, and help resolve technical issues related to payments in collaboration with the FinOps and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate should have some experience with backend programming in Kotlin, Java, or another statically typed language. A basic understanding of HTTP APIs and how backend systems communicate is essential, along with familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL. A genuine interest in payments technology, fintech, or crypto infrastructure, coupled with enthusiasm, curiosity, and eagerness to learn in a production environment, is highly valued. Good written and verbal communication skills are also important for cross-functional collaboration.
