Software Engineer
Wolt is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Data Developer Experience team, focusing on building core services for our Data Platform. This team is responsible for developing the Data Control Plane, a Go-based internal platform that enables users and services to configure and operate data infrastructure efficiently. Our mission is to meet the massive data scaling needs of a global organization with a platform that is simple yet powerful, self-healing, agentic-safe, trustworthy, snappy, and cost-efficient.
In this role, you will design and implement features by collaborating with stakeholders and proposing well-fitting solutions through RFCs. You will develop Go code with agents, targeting backend services, plugin frameworks, CLI tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and our React frontend application. Maintaining high-quality, curated documentation for users, AI agents, and maintainers is essential. Additionally, you will strive for operational excellence by proactively ensuring the robustness of our platform and participating in on-call duties. Supporting diverse data platform users and guiding them to optimal solutions will also be a key part of your responsibilities.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems or platforms. Deep experience with Go is required, along with a polyglot mindset and willingness to work with other languages like Python as needed. Hands-on experience with building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines is essential. A strong foundational understanding of networking and security best practices is necessary. Familiarity with data platform architecture and technologies, specifically columnar databases/storage and MPP engines, is important. A passion for Developer Experience and the ability to balance user needs with technical constraints are crucial. Proficiency in agentic coding workflows to accelerate value delivery while ensuring code robustness is also expected.
