Software Engineer
Twitch is seeking a Software Engineer to join the BITS team within its Commerce organization, based in Seattle, WA. This team is responsible for developing interactive features like Cheering, Power-ups, and Charity products that enhance viewer engagement with creators. The role involves contributing to both experimental features and established systems utilized by millions of users.
In this position, you will design and implement immersive, interactive experiences that encourage viewers to support creators and engage with the Twitch community. Responsibilities include architecting and building robust, scalable applications capable of handling millions of concurrent users, collaborating across teams to develop cohesive solutions that drive business impact, and transforming customer feedback into innovative features that enhance the Twitch experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional software development experience and a proven track record of building consumer-facing products that users appreciate. Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks is essential, along with strong problem-solving skills focused on algorithms, data structures, and schema design. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience is required.
The base salary for this position ranges from $99,500 to $200,000 USD per year, depending on factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
