Software Engineer I, Monetization ML
Join the Monetization Machine Learning (ML) team within Twitch's Commerce organization, where we develop intelligent systems that enhance personalized experiences for creators and viewers across all monetization products. Our team is responsible for the ML infrastructure supporting ads, commerce, and financial products—systems that optimize revenue and detect fraud while serving millions of users in real-time. We are based in San Francisco, CA, and Seattle, WA.
As a Software Engineer I on the Monetization ML team, you will build robust ML infrastructure and platforms that power personalized monetization experiences across Twitch's ecosystem. You will architect and develop APIs that seamlessly integrate ML models with existing monetization services, enabling real-time and batch predictions at scale. Collaborating with Applied Scientists, you will transform research into production-ready systems that serve millions of users. Additionally, you will design and implement comprehensive monitoring systems to ensure the reliability and quality of ML model performance.
The ideal candidate has at least one year of professional software development experience focused on building scalable systems. Experience in building production ML infrastructure, including model deployment, serving, and monitoring systems, is essential. Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go, along with distributed system technologies, is required. A strong understanding of data processing pipelines and experience with streaming technologies like Flink or Kafka are also important. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent real-world experience is necessary.
Twitch offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, maternity and parental leave, flexible paid time off, and an Amazon employee discount. The base salary range for this position is $110,500 to $160,000 annually in Seattle, WA, and $127,100 to $185,000 annually in San Francisco, CA. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
