The SMB Account Executive - West at Chainguard is a remote role focused on driving sales within the Western United States. The position involves building relationships with key decision-makers to promote secure and reliable software solutions. Key responsibilities include defining and executing sales plans for the assigned territory, conveying value propositions and product differentiators to prospects and customers, forecasting and exceeding sales quotas, developing and managing leads through inbound and outbound efforts, tracking opportunities using CRM tools, collaborating with product, support, and sales engineering teams, and understanding the competitive market landscape.

Candidates should have at least one year of experience selling SaaS or security solutions, a strong track record of consistently overachieving sales targets, and excellent communication skills. Domain experience with compute platforms (such as Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), DevOps tooling, CI/CD platforms (like GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins), and the overall software development lifecycle is strongly recommended. The candidate must be located in the Western region of the United States and be willing to travel to support client relationships as required.

The position offers a base salary of $85,000, with on-target earnings of $170,000.
