In this role, the engineer will design systems with resilience and capacity in mind, define and measure Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) that reflect customer experiences, and utilize tools like Datadog and CloudWatch to build effective observability. Responsibilities also include configuring alerting and routing through incident management platforms, and continuously improving the incident lifecycle from detection to resolution.
Candidates should have a software background with a curiosity about large-scale system behavior in production. Key qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and at least one year of hands-on experience in an SRE, DevOps, or Software Engineering role, including internships. Proficiency in coding with languages like Python or Go, exposure to cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), and familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes are essential. A strong understanding of monitoring concepts and active use of AI productivity tools for coding and debugging are also required.
