Senior Technical Writer, API Documentation

OpenFX is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to develop and maintain world-class API documentation, serving as the bridge between complex financial engineering and external developer adoption. This foundational role involves building the documentation ecosystem from the ground up, directly influencing how global financial institutions integrate with OpenFX's infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include architecting the information system, designing a scalable taxonomy, and owning the API documentation platform. The role also involves translating internal engineering logic into external developer understanding, implementing and enforcing OpenAPI workflows, and providing feedback on API design during product and engineering reviews.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in API documentation, specifically for REST APIs in B2B or infrastructure products. Proficiency in Docs-as-Code practices, including Markdown, Git, and CI/CD workflows, is essential. A strong understanding of distributed system concepts and the ability to simplify complex concepts into linear guides are also required. Experience in financial services or fintech, particularly with payments, trading, or banking APIs, is preferred.
