Senior Staff Engineer - Java
Experian is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer specializing in Java to join our Product Development team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of direct-to-customer products on a cloud-native platform utilizing Java and AWS technologies. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the United States or in a hybrid capacity, depending on your proximity to an Experian office.
As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new product features using Java, AWS cloud services, GraphQL for API development, and Kafka for real-time data streaming. Your duties will include architecting scalable solutions, guiding best practices in code quality and security, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define deliverables, conducting code reviews, and optimizing applications for performance and scalability.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Java and deploying applications on AWS. Experience leading software development projects in an Agile environment is essential. Proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, and DynamoDB, as well as hands-on experience with GraphQL, Kafka, and Spring Boot, is required. Familiarity with developing and deploying microservices, APIs, and real-time event-driven systems is also necessary.
Experian offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $133,109 to $239,596, along with a bonus plan.
