Senior Staff Engineer - Java / AWS
Experian is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer specializing in Java and AWS to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will be instrumental in architecting and implementing scalable, high-performance distributed backend systems that leverage Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and AWS services. As a Senior Staff Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing robust Java services, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance through effective system design patterns. You will optimize cloud infrastructure by adhering to AWS best practices, focusing on cost, performance, reliability, and security. Additionally, you will troubleshoot complex production issues to maintain system reliability and lead technical designs, architecture reviews, and code reviews to uphold engineering excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of professional experience in backend services, distributed systems, or platform engineering. A proven track record in architecting and operating large-scale distributed systems is essential, along with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. Deep understanding of AWS cloud services, cloud-native design principles, and cloud security best practices is required. Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, networking, and experience with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes are also necessary.
