Senior SRE
Banyan Software is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to oversee the operational excellence of modernized SaaS applications developed by the Banyan AI Factory. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of applications delivered to Banyan's Operating Companies (OpCos), rather than the development of the factory itself. The position is remote, open to candidates in the United States and Canada.
As a Senior SRE, you will be responsible for providing 24/7 operational support for OpCo containerized applications, participating in a rotating on-call schedule to maintain continuous availability. Your duties will include managing cloud integrations across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, implementing robust application observability tools, and developing disaster recovery and business continuity procedures. Additionally, you will respond to security incidents, automate operational environments using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), and build AI agents to enhance DevSecOps practices.
Ideal candidates will have 5–7 years of experience in Software Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering, with a strong focus on operating distributed systems. Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Go is essential, along with deep expertise in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, operating production workloads on AWS and/or Azure, and working with CI/CD platforms like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI is also required.
