Senior Specialist, Buy Enablement Operations
The Senior Specialist, Buy Enablement Operations at WPP Media is a pivotal role within the Media Operations team, responsible for ensuring the timely and high-quality execution of buy management activities and deliverables. This position involves coordinating and executing day-to-day campaign buy administration for assigned client brands and campaigns, under the direction of a Media Operations Supervisor or Manager. The role also includes supporting the Supervisor/Manager in managing the team and workload, and developing positive and assertive relationships with planning and trading teams to effectively implement client orders, buys, billing, actualization, and payments, in accordance with GroupM Standard Operating Procedures.
Key responsibilities include providing support to the Manager/Supervisor in managing staff and tasks within the team, monitoring progress and completion, acting as a bridge from Associate to Supervisor, serving as the day-to-day focal point for specific client teams in the coordination and execution of campaign initiation, activation, and reconciliation processes within financial management systems, ensuring adherence to campaign timelines in the client order, bill, and pay process, monitoring and ensuring accurate budget allocation of the MPA to campaigns, working with cross-functional teams and fostering relationships, participating and contributing to client team meetings around client orders, billing, and payable status, bringing pending issues to completion, supporting in training Buy Enablement Associates, and assisting in the QA process of campaign inputs.
The ideal candidate should possess a College Diploma in a Marketing, Financial, or Project Management field, or equivalent experience, a keen interest in Media and learning the end-to-end media process for all channels, attention to detail and an aptitude toward basic math, and some knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Planner, workflow tool) is an asset. Core competencies include strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to multi-task, strong math skills and ability to speak to numbers comfortably, advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong communication skills and relationship management, ability to escalate questions and seek team support as needed, fostering a complete understanding of their client’s buy management process, structure, and nuances, and full understanding of the campaign initiation, activation, and reconciliation process and requirements within financial systems.
