Senior Software Engineer, iOS, Growth

Duolingo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Onboarding team in Beijing, China. This role focuses on developing and maintaining native iOS applications to enhance user growth and deliver high-quality learning experiences to millions of learners worldwide. The position requires relocation to Beijing.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers and designers to create engaging experiences for new users. Your responsibilities include developing, releasing, and maintaining native iOS applications primarily using Swift. You will also contribute to code reviews and collaborate across teams to ensure quality and scalability.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with a solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design. A minimum of 5–10 years of experience programming in Swift is required. Dedication to Duolingo's mission of universally available education is essential. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is also necessary.
