Senior Software Engineer, Auto Refi
As a Senior Software Engineer on Upstart's Auto Refi team, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our auto refinance and auto secured personal loan products. Upstart is a leading AI lending marketplace committed to expanding access to affordable credit through innovative technology. Our Auto Refi team focuses on enhancing customer conversion by streamlining processes and continuously improving product quality.
In this role, you will lead collaborative projects across the full technology stack, working closely with cross-functional partners. Your responsibilities will include making strategic architectural decisions to enhance software quality, proposing and implementing ideas to improve team metrics, and collaborating with stakeholders to address complex challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, along with at least four years of experience. A strong focus on full-stack development, distributed systems, and APIs is essential. Proficiency in technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Kotlin, PostgreSQL, React, Next.js, Vercel, and Python is highly desirable. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as familiarity with microservices architecture and real-time data processing pipelines, will be advantageous.
