Senior Real Estate Paralegal

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP is seeking a Senior Real Estate Paralegal to join its commercial real estate team in New York City. This role involves working closely with attorneys and clients to manage complex real estate transactions, ensuring thorough due diligence and compliance with all relevant regulations. The Senior Real Estate Paralegal will be responsible for supporting multi-state commercial transactions, including reviewing surveys and title insurance commitments. Key duties include preparing and analyzing property title abstracts, deeds, surveys, and zoning reports for accuracy and completeness. The role also involves negotiating title insurance coverage, drafting legal documents such as mortgages and deeds, and coordinating escrow closings with title companies.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Real Estate, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal or in a similar role. A deep understanding of title and survey practices, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in legal research and document management software are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines, are also required.

The estimated base salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on factors such as skills, education, experience, and performance.
