Senior Product Security Architect
Gong is seeking a Senior Product Security Architect to join our team in Tel Aviv. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineering teams to influence system architecture, guide design decisions, and embed security measures across Gong's AI-powered platform from the earliest stages of development. This position offers the opportunity to address complex security challenges in cloud-native systems and AI-driven features, ensuring that security evolves alongside the company's scale and speed.
As a Senior Product Security Architect, your primary responsibilities will include shaping security architecture by partnering with engineers during the design phase to define secure patterns and make critical decisions before code is written. You will conduct hands-on work with engineering teams to review designs, analyze code and pull requests, and develop small tools or proofs-of-concept to validate security assumptions. Leading threat modeling and in-depth design reviews, you will identify trust boundaries, potential abuse cases, and high-impact attack paths, ensuring that controls are effective in real production environments.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in Product Security, Application Security, or Security Architecture. A strong software engineering foundation is essential, with the ability to read and review code in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript, and understand systems end-to-end. Deep knowledge of application security principles, experience securing cloud-native SaaS environments, and expertise in authentication and authorization systems are required. Hands-on experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows is also necessary.
