Senior Product Manager - Innovation
Experian is seeking a motivated Senior Product Manager to join its Consumer Services division, focusing on the Innovation portfolio. This role involves building new, app-first consumer finance products from the ground up, aiming to deliver value to millions of UK consumers. Reporting to the Director of Innovation, the successful candidate will be part of a small, Agile team dedicated to identifying opportunities and validating them through rigorous research and experimentation.
Key responsibilities include delivering a validated minimum viable product (MVP) for a new consumer finance product within six months, aligned with Experian Consumer Services' strategic growth agenda. The role encompasses end-to-end product discovery, including qualitative and quantitative research, opportunity sizing, and problem definition. The Senior Product Manager will develop a clear product strategy and roadmap with measurable goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), and foster a rhythm of experimentation and learning through A/B testing, prototypes, and data-driven insights. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Data, Compliance, and Marketing, is essential to integrate external partners and internal platforms, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in direct-to-consumer product management, preferably with experience in collections or debt within a fintech environment. Experience in launching new products from inception, including discovery, MVP development, and early-stage scaling, is crucial. The role requires proficiency in building business cases, defining success metrics, and driving revenue growth. A strong understanding of consumer needs, with experience applying user research and data insights to inform product strategy, is essential. Familiarity with Agile cross-functional teams, delivery processes, and stakeholder management is also important. Experience working in a regulated environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
