Senior Product Manager, Growth Experience
Upstart is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join its Growth team, focusing on enhancing user engagement and retention across web and mobile platforms. This role is pivotal in creating seamless product experiences that allow customers to effortlessly discover and access Upstart’s credit products, both for the first time and on an ongoing basis. By building exceptional, customer-centric experiences, the Growth team plays a crucial role in making Upstart the premier destination for consumer credit, driving growth and unifying Upstart’s product portfolio into a cohesive, multi-product marketplace.
In this position, you will define and deliver the vision for engagement across Upstart’s ecosystem, building product experiences that keep users returning and pave the path to upsell and cross-sell. You will champion the user journey, crafting intuitive and rewarding experiences that build trust and increase lifetime value. Additionally, you will drive experimentation at scale, using rapid iteration and clear metrics to test what works, and lead with influence, collaborating across product lines and teams to stitch together a cohesive experience across Upstart's suite of offerings.
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of product management experience, with a strong track record driving consumer engagement, growth, or retention, preferably with some mobile experience. Deep fluency in product discovery and hypothesis-driven development, including A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and success metric definition, is essential. Exceptional collaboration skills, with a proven ability to align diverse stakeholders—from executive leaders to cross-functional partners—around a shared strategy, are also required.
Upstart offers a competitive compensation package, including base pay, bonus opportunities, and annual equity grants that vest quarterly. Employees benefit from a generous 401(k) plan with Upstart matching $2 for every $1 contributed, up to $15,000 per year. Additional perks include affordable medical, dental, and vision coverage, health savings account contributions, paid time off, and family-centered benefits supporting fertility, parenthood, and caregiving.
