Senior Product Designer - 12 month FTC
Experian is seeking a Senior Product Designer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead the development of a new proposition from concept to Minimum Viable Product (MVP). This role involves collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams to refine user experiences and ensure high-quality delivery. Post-MVP, the designer will continue to iterate on the proposition and contribute to future projects as they evolve.
Key responsibilities include refining and strengthening the proposition in partnership with Product and Research teams, developing prototypes to test assumptions, producing clear design outputs for Engineering collaboration, designing and supporting lean experiments to inform iteration, and ensuring solutions are coherent, scalable, and aligned with the broader product strategy. Balancing user needs with commercial considerations, regulatory constraints, and technical feasibility is also essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in-house within cross-functional, Agile teams to solve complex user needs. Proficiency in using AI tools within the design workflow to enhance speed and quality is required. Experience taking products or significant features from concept through MVP into production, including discovery and research, is essential. Designing products in a direct-to-consumer environment is crucial, along with a portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and measurable outcomes. Strong systems-level design capability, experience with native (iOS or Android) and responsive web experiences, and familiarity with design systems like Figma are also important. Experience in regulated environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
The compensation package includes a competitive salary with a discretionary bonus, pension, Bupa healthcare, sharesave scheme, and more. The role offers hybrid working with 40% office-based time. Employees receive 25 days of annual leave, 8 bank holidays, and 3 volunteering days, with the option to purchase additional leave.
