Senior Partnerships Manager: Media & Editorial (f/m/d)
Awin's Unlock the Clock (UTC) programme is developing advanced measurement capabilities that extend beyond traditional last-click attribution. By leveraging deterministic, CDN/edge-level signals and sophisticated data connections from publishers, UTC aims to capture the full-funnel and AI-discovery influences often missed in current attribution models. The Senior Partnerships Manager: Media & Editorial (f/m/d) is a pivotal role within this initiative, responsible for acquiring and maintaining partnerships with medium-to-large global media publications and publisher groups. This position focuses on establishing flagship, tier-one partnerships that serve as reference cases for the broader market.
The primary responsibilities include identifying and targeting high-value media publications and publisher groups, leading the entire partnership process from initial contact to live data integration. This involves engaging with senior stakeholders across commercial, e-commerce, editorial, and digital domains to negotiate and finalize agreements. The role also entails developing and refining the publisher value proposition, constructing value exchanges that introduce new revenue streams, advertiser demand, insights, and favorable commercial terms. Additionally, the manager will oversee the technical and contractual aspects of partnerships, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with data-sharing, privacy, and consent requirements.
Candidates should possess over seven years of experience in commercial, partnership, or account leadership roles, with a significant portion gained on the publisher or media-owner side. An established network of senior contacts within the media and publishing sectors is essential. Experience in representing an organization publicly, such as speaking at industry events or panels, is highly desirable. A strong track record in negotiating and closing commercial agreements with publishers, including various deal structures, is required. Familiarity with the affiliate and performance ecosystem, as well as how publishers monetize content, is beneficial. The role demands a commercially creative individual capable of constructing value exchanges without predefined price lists, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals. Technical literacy, including an understanding of tracking, CDNs, page performance, and data flows, is important. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in German or another European language is advantageous.
