Senior Marketing Analyst
Chainguard is seeking a Senior Marketing Analyst to enhance the measurement, understanding, and optimization of marketing performance and return on investment across demand generation, performance marketing, and the Business Development Representative (BDR) motion. This high-visibility role involves close collaboration with Marketing, Finance, and Revenue Operations leadership to develop analytics frameworks that guide investment decisions and pipeline growth. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in defining success metrics and driving data-informed strategies.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining comprehensive funnel analyses that connect website engagement, campaign performance, and downstream pipeline metrics. The analyst will own performance marketing and web analytics, analyzing paid search, paid social, and website traffic to identify high-performing pages, conversion drop-offs, and areas of friction within the funnel. Additionally, the role involves diagnosing full-funnel performance from initial touchpoints through opportunity stages, surfacing optimization opportunities across campaigns, landing pages, lifecycle flows, and BDR handoffs.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in marketing analytics, performance marketing analytics, marketing operations, or a similar role within a B2B SaaS environment. Strong analytical skills are essential, with the ability to frame ambiguous business questions and translate data into actionable insights. Hands-on experience with SQL and business intelligence tools (preferably Sigma), as well as marketing attribution tools like Hockeystack, is required. A deep understanding of performance marketing and web funnels, including paid media, website optimization, and conversion analysis, is also necessary.
Chainguard offers a flexible and remote-first culture, providing opportunities for team meetups, bi-annual destination summits, and a monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone, and internet costs. Employees receive stock options upon hire and promotion, with a 10-year exercise window. The company covers 100% of health, vision, and dental insurance premiums for employees and their dependents. Additionally, Chainguard provides unlimited flexible time off and 18 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents, with 12 weeks for non-birthing parents, usable all at once or throughout the child's first year.
Joining Chainguard means becoming part of a team dedicated to being the safe source for open source software. The company values customer obsession, intentional action, and transparency, fostering an environment where employees can thrive and make a significant impact. This role offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading experts on open source software, security, and cloud-native development, contributing to a mission that enhances data protection and operational efficiency for organizations worldwide.
