Senior Manufacturing Product Engineer
As a Senior Manufacturing Product Engineer at Graphcore, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the manufacturing performance of advanced AI compute systems during volume production. This position involves bridging product design, testing, quality assurance, and supply chain management with manufacturing execution, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of our products. You will collaborate closely with our build partners in Taiwan, focusing on enhancing yield, quality, and manufacturability across complex products.
Your key responsibilities will include managing partner engineering relationships, swiftly addressing and resolving manufacturing issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will provide design for manufacturability (DfM) feedback, establish production data requirements, and explore next-generation manufacturing technologies. Your role will require a strong understanding of automated surface-mount technology (SMT) assembly processes, lean manufacturing methodologies, and the ability to connect silicon, package, and PCB interactions into clear DfM feedback.
To be successful in this role, you should possess strong fault diagnosis, problem-solving, and failure analysis skills, including experience with in-circuit test (ICT) to SMT debug. Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as JMP, SQL, or Python is essential. Experience using Six Sigma continuous improvement methods, including statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE), is highly desirable. Fluency in Mandarin and strong English communication skills are necessary for effective cross-functional, cross-regional, and supplier-facing work.
