Smartsheet is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Operations to lead the team responsible for planning, executing, and shipping within the product organization. This role involves managing a team of Product Operations Managers, setting operational standards, and partnering with product and engineering leadership to drive strategic alignment. As a player-coach, the Senior Manager will engage in both hands-on tasks and high-level strategic planning.

Key responsibilities include leading, developing, and growing a team of Product Operations Managers across various levels. The role involves designing and owning the product operating model, including planning cycles, goal frameworks, launch processes, and team rhythms. The Senior Manager will partner with Directors and VPs to surface operational insights that inform investment and prioritization decisions, set tooling strategies for product operations, and drive cross-functional alignment between product, engineering, design, go-to-market, and finance teams.

The ideal candidate will have over eight years of experience in product operations, strategy and operations, or program management, with at least two to three years in people management. They should possess deep experience in designing operational systems that scale across a product organization, strong executive communication skills, a track record of building and developing high-performing operations teams, and the ability to connect operational decisions to business metrics. Experience influencing without authority across multiple functions and organizational levels is also essential.

Smartsheet offers a competitive base salary range of $170,000 to $230,000 USD, along with employer-subsidized medical, vision, and dental coverage for full-time employees. Additional benefits include a 401k match, monthly stipend to support work and productivity, flexible time away program, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability plans, 12 paid holidays per year, up to 24 weeks of parental leave, personal paid volunteer day, and opportunities for professional growth and development, including access to online courses.

At Smartsheet, employees' ideas are heard, their potential is supported, and their contributions have a real impact. The company fosters an environment where individuals have the freedom to explore, push boundaries, and grow beyond their roles. Diverse perspectives and nontraditional paths are welcomed, recognizing that impact comes from individuals who care deeply and challenge thoughtfully.
