Senior Manager, Legal Operations Client Solutions
White & Case, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Senior Manager for Legal Operations Client Solutions to enhance client service, operational efficiency, and process innovation within the Tech Disputes practice. This role involves overseeing legal operations for technology clients, managing complex portfolios across multiple jurisdictions, and driving improvements in reporting, compliance, and the use of AI and business intelligence tools. The position requires close collaboration with both the client’s and the Firm’s legal teams, as well as other business functions, to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing standardized workflows and operational procedures to enhance efficiency across client matters and portfolios, conducting process mapping and analysis to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation, leading initiatives to standardize processes across jurisdictions and practice areas, and facilitating workshops and stakeholder sessions to drive adoption of new processes and technologies. The Senior Manager will also manage concurrent matters across a portfolio, provide financial and operational oversight, conduct complex financial modeling and profitability analysis, and develop and maintain operational dashboards and reporting mechanisms. Additionally, the role involves building relationships and fostering a collaborative approach between the Firm's legal teams, local counsel, and clients on matter workstreams, and leading post-project reviews and lessons learned workshops to contribute to ongoing process improvements.
Candidates should have significant experience in Legal Operations, with a demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and process improvement initiatives. Experience managing complex, multi-jurisdictional matters in an operational capacity, including working with global legal teams and outside counsel, is essential. Proven ability to lead and develop teams, including mentoring junior staff and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, is required. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across departments such as Finance, Pricing, Innovation, Technology, and Business Development are necessary. Knowledge and proficiency in legal technology platforms, including extranets, eBilling software, online data rooms, collaboration tools, and SharePoint, as well as proficiency in Legal AI tools such as Legora and VincentAI, are important. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent organizational and time management skills, and strong interpersonal and communication skills are also required.
